Tagua Tagua Sauvignon Blanc 2024 displays a pale straw-gold color and a lively, translucent appearance. On the nose, you’ll discover bright citrus aromas of lime zest and lemon peel, layered with green apple, subtle passion fruit and a hint of freshly cut grass. There’s a fine mineral edge that reflects the cool night-time conditions of the Central Valley vineyards. On the palate the wine is dry, crisp and lively. Flavors of grapefruit, kiwi and ripe green mango dominate early, followed by a touch of white peach and flinty mineral nuance. Medium-light in body, the wine carries vibrant acidity that lifts the fruit and provides refreshing tension. The finish is clean and lingering, leaving subtle aromatic herbs and a faint saline hint in the after-taste that invites another sip. This Sauvignon Blanc is luminous, modern and exemplifies Chile’s skill-driven white-wine style—fresh, direct and immediately gratifying.
Thanks to its bright acidity and fruit-forward profile, Tagua Tagua Sauvignon Blanc 2024 pairs beautifully with a wide array of dishes. Think light seafood: ceviche, grilled shrimp skewers, steamed white fish with lemon-herb butter. It also shines alongside salads featuring goat cheese, arugula, citrus segments and toasted almonds—its crisp character supporting both richness and freshness. For slightly richer fare, try it with sushi rolls (tuna or yellowtail), crab cakes with remoulade or a classic Niçoise salad. The wine’s acidity cuts through oil and brings out delicate flavors, while its citrus and green-fruit notes complement herbs and lighter sauces. Even vegetarian options – asparagus risotto, zucchini ribbons with mint and pea purée, or goat-cheese tartlets – find an elegant partner here. This is a real “versatile white” made to pour at the table and enjoy across multiple courses.
Tagua Tagua is a Chilean estate steeped in winemaking tradition. The winery traces its roots to the early 19th century, founded by José Gregorio Correa Albano and advanced through five generations of the Correa family. Today, under the leadership of Santiago, Francisco and José Tomás Correa Lisoni, the estate spans extensive vineyard holdings across the Central Valley – including the Rapel, Maule and Colchagua Valleys.
Located near San Vicente de Tagua Tagua in Chile’s O’Higgins Region, the vineyards benefit from a Mediterranean-style climate with warm, dry summers, cool nights and varied soils of loam and clay that support healthy vine growth and expressive white varieties.
While Tagua Tagua is better known for its reds, their Sauvignon Blanc (often styled Selección or similar) offers a fresh expression of Chile’s white-wine potential. The producer emphasizes approachable, fruit-driven wines intended for broad, international markets.
Labelled under Central Valley or Vino de Chile designations, Tagua Tagua Sauvignon Blanc leverages modern winemaking with stainless-steel cold fermentation, minimal oak influence, and precise temperature control to preserve purity of fruit. Older vines and thoughtful viticulture ensure consistency and value.
This 2024 vintage continues the family’s commitment to accessible, well-crafted white wine—rooted in Chile’s tradition but designed for immediate enjoyment.
