Light, lovely, and so very easy to drink, the Varichon & Clerc Privilège Blanc de Blancs Brut exudes conviviality, elegance, and impeccable balance from start to finish. Gently aromatic with scents of orchard fruits and white flowers that caress the nose, as well as offering a lively mousse of tiny bubbles to dazzle the palate, Varichon & Clerc’s Privilège Blanc de Blancs may be the most crowd pleasing sparkling wine on the market. And, thanks to the Savoie’s alpine coterie of indigenous grape varieties, it remains fresh and subtle in the mouth and finishes light and easy. Pure and natural like alpine spring water, you will want to have more than one bottle of Varichon & Clerc Privilège Blanc de Blancs on hand because everyone will want a second or third glass. For optimum enjoyment and proper handling, chill this winsome méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine to below 40° F. Enjoy!

Varichon & Clerc’s Privilège Blanc de Blancs Brut is the perfect anytime sparkler. Not only does it make an ideal aperitif, it also provides perfect companionship to salads, seafood, hors d’oeuvres, white meats, and cheeses. A perennial favorite, smoked salmon with cream cheese, onion, and capers provides a tasty starter. Creamy seafood risottos also win high marks with Varichon & Clerc’s Privilège Blanc de Blancs Brut. This lithe sparker is also a fine way to wash down Thanksgiving dinner and all the trimmings. Brie and Camembert and most other creamy cheeses make winning partners, too. With such eminent drinkability and a friendly welcoming spirit, it’s hard to beat Varichon & Clerc’s Privilège Blanc de Blancs for easy, palate pleasing pleasure. Bon Appétit!

Varichon & Clerc’s Privilège Blanc de Blancs Brut is a Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wine that is under pressure. It should always be well chilled before opening (35°-40° F). Always exercise caution when opening a bottle of sparkling wine. Never use a corkscrew. Point the bottle away from people and objects. Use a clean towel or cloth to firmly grip the bottle. Gently remove the wire stopper while firmly holding the cork in place. Then with thumb and forefinger, remove the cork slowly from the bottle. Do not let the cork fly. Enjoy!

Established in 1901 in Seyssel in the alpine region of Savoie between Lyon and Geneva, Varichon & Clerc has been a leader in the production of high quality Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wines since its inception. Méthode Traditionnelle is the same painstaking method used in Champagne, by which the wine is fermented and aged in bottle for 12-15 months before disgorgement and dosage to create tiny bubbles, the magic of Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wine.

Varichon & Clerc specializes in fashioning sparkling wines from historical French grape varieties, including Savoie’s highly prized Jacquère varietal, a grape known for its mouthwatering, ethereal charm. Varichon & Clerc fashions a number of fine blends and single varietal sparkling wines. However, Varichon & Clerc’s Privilège Blanc de Blancs Brut serves as its most renowned offering.
