Pale gold in color, this Vouvray opens with aromas of green apple, pear, and citrus, along with subtle floral and mineral notes. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with bright acidity. Flavors of apple, lemon, and stone fruit are complemented by a clean, slightly mineral-driven finish. Depending on the style, there may be a faint touch of residual sugar balancing the acidity. Serve slightly chilled (50–55°F) to maintain freshness while allowing aromatics to develop.

This wine pairs well with a variety of lighter dishes. Seafood such as shellfish, grilled fish, and oysters complement its acidity and mineral profile. It also works well with poultry, salads, and soft cheeses like chèvre. Its balance of acidity and subtle fruit makes it adaptable across a range of cuisines, including lightly spiced dishes.

This Vouvray is produced in the Loire Valley, one of France’s most important and diverse wine regions. The Vouvray appellation, located along the Loire River near the city of Tours, is dedicated exclusively to Chenin Blanc. The region’s cool climate and limestone-rich soils—often referred to as tuffeau—contribute to wines with high acidity, mineral character, and strong aging potential.

Chenin Blanc is known for its versatility, capable of producing wines ranging from dry to sweet, as well as still and sparkling styles. Vouvray, in particular, is prized for its balance of freshness and complexity. Even in its younger expressions, it often shows a combination of fruit, floral notes, and underlying minerality.

The 2024 vintage reflects a youthful, fresh style intended for early enjoyment. Wines from Vouvray are typically fermented in stainless steel or neutral vessels to preserve the grape’s natural aromatics and acidity.

This bottling represents a classic expression of Loire Valley Chenin Blanc—structured by acidity, shaped by terroir, and defined by clarity and balance.
