Try serving it with mashed potatoes or rice pilaf and pairing it with a dry white wine, such as,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.winemonthclub.com\/tavignano-villa-torre-verdicchio-dei-castelli-di-jesi-classico-superiore-2012.htm?catid=875\" target=\"_blank\">Tavignano \u201cVilla Torre\u201d Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2012 <\/a>which we featured in our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.winemonthclub.com\/join-or-give-a-gift-membership.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Premier Series<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n<p>Prep Time:\u00a015 Minutes<br \/>\nCook Time:\u00a025 Minutes<br \/>\nReady In:\u00a040 Minutes<br \/>\nServings:\u00a04<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2183\" alt=\"Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast 2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.winemonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Apple-Stuffed-Chicken-Breast-2.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.winemonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Apple-Stuffed-Chicken-Breast-2.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.winemonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Apple-Stuffed-Chicken-Breast-2-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup chopped apple (Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Newtown Pippin, Rome Beauty and\/or Winesap apples may be used.)<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon Italian-style dried bread crumbs<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup dry white wine<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup water<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon water<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 teaspoons cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<\/p>\n<p>1. Combine apple, cheese, and bread crumbs. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>2. Flatten chicken breasts between sheets of waxed paper to 1\/4 inch thickness. Divide apple mixture between chicken breasts, and roll up each breast. Secure with toothpicks.<\/p>\n<p>3. Melt butter or margarine in a 7 inch skillet over medium heat. Brown stuffed chicken breasts. Add wine and 1\/4 cup water. Cover. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink.<\/p>\n<p>4. Transfer chicken to a serving platter. Combine 1 tablespoon water and cornstarch; stir into juices in pan. Cook and stir until thickened. Pour gravy over chicken, and garnish with parsley.
