Paso Robles, CA - Paso Robles Wine Festival
“The 31st Annual Wine Festival begins Friday, May 17, 2013 as select wineries feature their Library, Reserve, White/Rosé, Futures and terrific tastes at the Reserve Event. On Saturday, May 18, 2013, more than 60 wineries come together in the Paso Robles Downtown City Park to showcase their wines alongside culinary samplings during the Grand Tasting. There will also be a fun Winemaker Seminar preceding this tasting event. New in 2013, the wineries for the Grand Tasting will be arranged by region to create an even more enjoyable and memorable tasting experience. Wineries will be organized into five “regions” for tasting: Bordeaux, Rhône, Zinfandel, Burgundy and other wild wines for your tasting pleasure. Taste wines from more than 60 Paso Robles wineries, featuring more than 300 wines, all in the Downtown Paso Robles Park! Wine and food at the Grand Tasting will be complemented by the sounds of One Time Spaceman, an original rock band from the Central Coast of California! Travel beyond the Park to explore more than 130 winery events throughout the weekend including winemaker dinners, live music, barrel samplings, and more! ”

“Sip, swirl and savor from a selection of 250 handcrafted wines from 50 Lodi wineries. Passionate winemakers and winery representatives welcome guests, offering practical knowledge and sharing their delicious wines. Enjoy local provisions, learn some new tips at the ZinFest Wine and Cooking Schools, or relax along the beautiful Mokelumne River to an eclectic mix of live music. Guests can peruse merchandise from regional vendors and take home a commemorative bottle of custom blended Old Vine Zinfandel from the ZinFest Wine Shoppe. There is no better way to celebrate the fantastic wines of Lodi Wine Country! Tickets include a ZinFest wine glass, wine tasting, participation in seminars and entertainment. Festivities are held from 12 noon – 5 pm.” There will also be a Vintner’s Grill the day before on May 17 and Winery Open Houses the day after on May 19."

New Orleans - New Orleans Wine & Food Experience
“Over the past 20 years the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience has raised more than $1 million for non-profit organizations right here in our community, while showcasing local food and chefs, and national and international wines. We invite you to raise a glass and be a part of the festivities as we make New Orleans a better place to live, work and play. This year in an effort to fight hunger and support culinary education, the 2013 beneficiaries will share 100% of the proceeds. Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana will receive 40% and the following will share the remaining 60%: the Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation's ProStart Program, Delgado Culinary Arts School, New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts’ Culinary Program, the John Folse Culinary Institute and the Edible Schoolyard New Orleans.”
