Produced primarily from the free run must of Parellada, the 2010 Can Feixes Blanc Selecció is testimony to the magic of this fine but relatively unknown grape. The 2010 Blanc Selecció is endowed with an amplifying nose comprised of the scents of citrus, gravel, minerals, and wild flowers. The 2006 Fratelli Revello Barolo is a clear stand out, even in a vintage as fine as 2006. Possessing exceptional harmony and balance, Revello’s 2006 Barolo offers up aromas of pure, ripe red fruits, anise, mint, and moist woodlands. On the palate, this deep wine provides plenty of red fruit, spice, and pure woodland flavors. As good as all this is, it’s the finish on the 2006 Revello that leaves the greatest impression, with the wine’s floral tones re-emerging at the end. As with all Barolo, we suggest extended aeration. |
