Brooklyn Brewing Company Black Chocolate Stout
The Brooklyn Brewing Company's Black Chocolate Stout is a seasonal beer only produced 6 months out of the year. Brewmaster Garrett Oliver takes great pride, and rightfully so, in this bold, classic interpretation of a Russian Imperial Stout. It's modeled from a style once only produced by British brewers for the Russian Czar's Court and was originally produced at higher alcohol contents to make it more durable when in transit to distant Baltic ports. Oliver uses two-row English pale, chocolate, & black patent malts as well as malted wheat and black barley to brew this complex ale. He balances the malt profile nicely with East Kent Goldings, Willamette, and Cascade hops. We found this big and full ale a wonderful winter warmer and an excellent accompaniment to most chocolate desserts. Velvety black in color, look for a dark chocolately flavor and slight coffee aroma. Overall, a complex, bold beer with a long, somewhat fruity and dark roasted malt finish.

Brooklyn Brewing Company Brooklyn Brown Ale
The Brooklyn Brewing Company's Brown Ale took the Bronze in 1991 at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category and again in 1992 and 2000 in the American Brown Ale Category. The brewery brews this award winner with two-row pale, chocolate, crystal, and biscuit malts as well as malted wheat to attain its complex, creamy texture. It's more aggressively hopped than its British ancestors, using Willamette, Cascade, and Northern Brewer hops. It was first brewed in 1990 as a seasonal beer, but was so widely received that it's now produced year-round. Note a tawny-brown color and a big roasted malt nose with some floral hops evident. We found hints of coffee and chocolate in the flavor and finish. Consider pairing it with a pork chop or steak.

Chesapeake Bay Brewing Company Premium Pilsner
Chesapeake Bay's flagship brand, their Premium Pilsner is an authentic Czechoslovakian style Pilsner, light in color, but screaming with spicy hops. The brewery uses only the finest German Noble hops available as well as authentic German Pilsner malts to make this exceptional Pils. In addition, Chesapeake Bay also use traditional German brewing techniques which require a minimum 4 week lagering period. You'll notice the difference when you sample this clean, flavorful and hoppy pilsner. We'd suggest enjoying it with a spicy dish.

Rock Creek Brewing Company American Ale
Rock Creek's All American Pale Ale unquestionably fits into the West Coast style pale-ale category. What's that mean? In a word, bold. Note it's slightly darker than most pale ales and it's packed with a heavy does of Cascade hops. Rock Creek's Pale Ale is brewed with a combination of 2-row pale and crystal malts. Cascade and Centennial hops are added in two separate additions during the boil to balance this beer's bold malty character. Consider pairing it up with a tangy barbecued chicken or rib dish.
