Wine and Food Pairings
Pairing wine with meals is easy if you don't go to extremes. One easy way to keep track of your wine and food pairing is to print out a list of wines that go with the chose dish and keep it with your recipe. Their are a number of web sites that can help you determine the correct wine for a given meal. Here is a quick list of web pages that can help you.
The Quarterly Review of Wines (QRW) has a Classic Food and Wine Pairings page for choosing the correct wine for your meal. QRW also offers a nice pocket-sized wine chart PDF that prints on two pages so you can fold it up and put it in your wallet.
The web site surdyks.com also has a list of wine and food pairings that is more compact. Their list actually pairs food with a list of wine makers.
Oddly enough the web site Avocado.org features a practical guide for pairing wine and food entitled "10 Tips for Food and Wine Pairing" that really makes sense.
Cellarnotes.net has some simple serving suggestions for matching the right wine with your dinner dish.
